Undead Arts was founded in January 2025 by the co-creators of Jersey City’s Zombie Opera, Catriona Rubenis-Stevens and Molly Dunn, and their 2024 Art Director, Katy Gardiner, to expand upon the success of the show by continuing to make the arts accessible in and around Jersey City.

Our 2025 Board Honorees
At the Inaugural Halfway-to-Halloween Gala, the Undead Arts founders honored their beloved “Founding Mothers” - four women from our Jersey City community who helped bring the Zombie Opera into the world. The first two women are local long-time Jersey City residents, Noreen Collins and Grace Malley whose stoops on Jersey Avenue served as the stage for the first two years of the Zombie Opera and residents Diane Atwell and Elna Mukaida, who serve as the President and Trustee respectively for the HPNA, and have helped facilitate three years of hosting the Zombie Opera inside the Hamilton Park gazebo as the official nonprofit sponsor.
